Our Story
Chris first saw Alex on social media in early 2016 but- in typical Alex fashion- he did not respond, and left Chris hanging. He knew Alex was going to be his, and like his mother, stopped at nothing to get Alex's attention. Finally, Chris ended up going to a party that he didn't want to go to because he knew Alex was going to be there. Chris finally got his face time with Alex and they traded numbers. They spent much of that year traveling and building their relationship, that is, until Chris got the call for his dream job at Delta. Unfortunately, knowing Chris would be moving back home to Atlanta, they went their separate ways (for a bit).
They both went through their relationships over the years, learned lessons, and grew- but no one ever truly matched the feelings they had for each other. Alex decided one day in 2023 to reach out to Chris after seeing one of his instagram posts, and that very quickly fanned the flame that just never really died back in 2016. They became inseparable from that point- talking daily, eager to catch up on the missed time. Every time he came to Seattle, Alex would never let Chris leave without having a plan in the calendar for the next time they would see each other. With lives rooted in Seattle and Atlanta, they have been busy putting in the miles to see each other, and after many long flights, it didn't take any convincing before Alex decided he was moving to Atlanta.
In the short amount of time since they had gotten back together, they knew it was inevitable that a wedding was in their future and decided to start planning a proper celebration with all of their family and friends.

What will the weather be like?
During the day, the weather in Victoria should be beautiful, averaging 75-80 degrees, but may get chilly at night. Please bring an umbrella in case of rain and some warm layers for the evening.
Where should I park?
The Fairmont Empress offers a daily valet service. If you are planning on driving to Hatley Castle instead of taking the shuttle for the ceremony and reception you can park in the lower lot and will need a parking pass - please look for someone from our wedding planner's team at the lot when you arrive for the pass.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes, please look for someone from the venue or our wedding planner's team for assistance.
What should I wear?
Please see our Schedule for the dress code.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but dinner and dancing will be inside.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
We suggest avoiding stiletto heels unless you have the necessary heel protectors as there are quite a few grassy areas that you will have to walk on throughout the day.
What can I do with my bags if I arrive early or need to check out but still join you for an event?
You can ask to leave your bags with the hotel's front desk and they would more than happy to oblige.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
Whom should I call with questions?
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to our wedding planner, Radhika Graham. She can be reached by email at rad@radoccasions.ca
